We wrote that badly on purpose.
Every highlighted phrase is an entry on one of the Prosodeus hit lists, coloured by list. Your own drafts get marked the same way.
Prosodeus finds stock phrases and repetitive sentence patterns in a text and points to the paragraphs that have the most. It can rewrite them for you. The code is MIT licensed. You supply the model key, and the text is sent to that provider only.
What it checks
The hit lists hold 1,000 phrases in 12 categories, each entry with a signal strength and a false-positive risk. "Game-changing" is filed under synthetic significance, "Moreover" under transition filler, and "It's not X, it's Y" under symmetrical templates. The engine also scores structure, so a page of sentences that are all about the same length can score high without containing a single listed phrase.
A single hit means little, because models learned every phrase on the lists from people who wrote that way first. Two hits in a paragraph of about 100 words are worth checking. With five or more, start the paragraph over.
Rewriting a flagged sentence
For each flagged sentence, the rewrite guidance looks for the claim that the stock phrase is standing in for. Where you can supply the fact, the fact replaces "transformative power". If you don't, the sentence is cut or left with a bracketed note saying what is missing. The model is told not to add facts that are not in your text.
To do the rewrite in your own chat window, run constrain and paste its
constraints in with the text. rewrite does the revision with the model you
configured. Run compare on the two files afterwards to see whether the
numbers moved.

Limits
Prosodeus describes the prose in front of it. It does not try to work out who wrote a text. OpenAI withdrew its own detector in 2023; at launch it had identified 26% of AI-written text. We built the hit lists with LLM-assisted research and have not checked all 1,000 entries by hand. Evidence and policy lists the sources.
